Great experience and service. The doctor recommended a fusion of two treatments in one session (head and shoulder massage + oiled pouch ) which I had completed. It was extremely relaxing, grounding and unwinding. Highly recommended.

The hot pouch experience was one of the most relaxing and invigorating experiences I have ever had.

Suffering from mild inflammation and chronic pain all my life I have had to use medications, vitamins, herbs, different massages and all the latest trends regarding pain relief. None of which have ever helped.

After the hour long session of hot oil and hot herbal pouch I can say that my pain 100% disappeared. Never have I felt so relaxed in my life.

Anyone wondering if you should do this trust me and do it! I have booked in every month for the year because I deserve to feel this good

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

Frequently Asked Questions

Can Kizhi therapy treat the cause of my ailment? Or does it provide relief?

Kizhi mainly supports your body rather than curing the root problem, but it can ease stiffness, tension and discomfort. Whether it reaches the underlying cause depends on what is creating your symptoms. If your pain keeps recurring or has no clear explanation, book an Ayurvedic doctor’s consultation alongside a medical assessment.

Kizhi suits general soreness after training, chronic tightness and recovery once an acute injury has calmed. It is not the treatment to use immediately after a fresh injury, especially with swelling, heat, bruising or suspected tissue damage. Get medical or physiotherapy advice first in those cases.

Each pouch contains a blend of about 18 herbs, chosen for the treatment and for you specifically. The exact formulation changes depending on your needs, so mention any allergies to your therapist and ask them to confirm the ingredients before your session starts.

The pouches stay warm rather than hot and are never meant to feel painful. Your therapist checks the temperature repeatedly and keeps the pouches moving across your skin. Speak up if the heat feels too strong, and your therapist will ease off.

Yes, though sensitive or reactive skin needs extra care. Let us know about eczema, psoriasis, allergies, broken skin or a recent flare-up before you begin. Depending on what you tell us, your therapist might lower the temperature, avoid affected areas, patch-test the oil or suggest a different treatment.

Choose loose, older clothing for your visit since herbal oil can transfer onto fabric. During the treatment, you undress only as far as you are comfortable, and secure draping keeps you covered except for the area your therapist is working on.

It works both ways. You can have a full-body treatment with extra focus on problem areas or a more localised session, depending on what you book and need. Let us know where your discomfort is so we can plan your session accordingly.

Kizhi generally isn’t suitable if you have a fever, acute illness, fresh injury, open wound, active skin infection or a condition where heat is contraindicated. If you are pregnant or have a significant medical condition, talk to our Ayurvedic doctor before booking.

The herbal oil has a distinct natural scent that can linger on your skin and hair for several hours. Wear something you don’t mind getting oily, and if the scent concerns you, avoid booking anything formal right after your session.

You are welcome to unwind with herbal tea in our meditation room after your session. Give yourself time to rest and hydrate, and avoid strenuous exercise for the rest of the day if possible. Keep the oil on your skin as your therapist recommends, usually 1.5 to 2 hours, then shower it off with warm water.
