Ayurveda (pronounced ay-a-vay-da) is set to be the next big trend in health and wellness as spa addicts look for something beyond the average massage.
Ayurveda is India’s ancient health science and is often described as the therapeutic branch of Yoga.
Although it’s been practiced in India for over 5,000 years, Ayurveda is relatively new to Australia, and leading the trend in Oz is The Ayurvedic Wellness Centre in Bondi Junction, NSW, which opened its very relaxing doors in September.
The centre was founded by Rita Sagrani, who noticed the lack of Ayurvedic health treatments available in Australia after she used the ancient Indian practice to heal her own health woes.
